Jan. 9 -- Cleared the T. trail all the way to Diamond road by skidoo. Lots of blowdown. Broke the windshield.

March 31 -- Rebuilt the picnic table at the side of the parking lot.

April 19 -- Walked over the Telegraph trail ridge loop with the axe. The creek crossings were icy cold.

April 24 -- Took the saw over the Pantage lake section of the T. trail. It was dry up there but the road was muddy as far as Goose lake (Herkylthtie).

April 27 -- A nice group of hikers came out to walk the Pantage lake section. Yellow flowers were in bloom.

May 10 -- Cleared the Mackenzie trail loop with a group of cub scouts and their leaders. A nice day.

May 12 -- Explored for a possible trail relocation in the Five Dollar hill area.

May 13 -- Attended the Hike B.C. trail meeting at the Back Eddy on the Les Gardner place. They are hoping to extend the National trail along the Quesnel river.

May 18 -- Persuaded Donny to go with me to clear the section of T. trail between Goose lake and Whittier creek. We had to leave the saw at Diamond road when we ran into too many blowdown. Saw six deer and two bears, a mother with cub.

May 20 -- Finished cutting out the blowdown on the T. trail near Diamond road. Saw three moose and several deer. Calypso orchid in bloom along the trail.

May 25- -- Decided to drive out to Blackwater. Cleared T. trail down to the river from Pantage bridge. Met the Baileys who have purchased the Frappier ranch. Found more stone blades along Pantage creek. Saw a deer and a bear.

May 26 -- Ann and I hiked down to Mid-meadow on the old trail along the Quesnel river. Ten mile round trip. Found old miner's cabin at Cantin creek. Possible route for the National trail. Saw one bear on the way out. Beautiful scenery.

May 27 -- Our AGM was held at Betty's place. Lorelee came up from Tatlayoko. Ann Stackhouse was there. Our secretary has indicated that she would like to retire so we will need to find a replacement.

June 5 -- Asked Donny to go with me to clear windfall on the Blackwater canyon loop trail. A very hot day. Saw lots of deer and two bears along the way. The loop is about eight miles total.

June 10 -- Picked up 200 T. trail markers, $297.

June 11 -- Cut grass in the Telegraph park area.

June 12 -- Ventured out to do the Five Dollar hill to Goose lake section of T. trail. Ran out of gas for the saw about half way. Large amount of blowdown from logging on the Sanford woodlot. Met a brown bear.

June 22 -- Cleaned up the T. trail in the Amiot road area. Saw three deer. Brought home a load of wood.

June 28 -- Cleared the Hidden lake section of T. trail. Hot weather.

June 29 -- Cleaned up the Muskrat meadow section of T. trail. Very hot weather.

July 2 -- Wet weather. Met Cam, Shaun's friend, when they came out to help on the T. trail. Huge amount of blowdown just past Goose lake. Saw a deer. Roads muddy.

July 6 -- Finished cutting through all the blow down on the Goose lake section of T. trail.

July 13 -- Managed to reroute the T. trail across the back of Norma's lot at Goose lake.

Aug. 2 -- Asked Donny to help me clear from Pantage lake to Frappier's on the T. trail. Stopped at the new Waterwheel store at Bailey's ranch. Blue sky.

Aug. 23 -- Ted Nickols brought two loads of fill and dumped them at the T. park to enlarge the parking area.

Sept. 28 -- A beautiful fall day, sunny and warm. Ventured out to Blackwater. Repaired the trail upriver from the bridge.

Oct. 13 -- Donny and I walked all the way up to Bell's camp and back on the lower Native trail along the Blackwater river (14 miles). Sadly, someone has used an atv on part of the six thousand year ;old trail and ruined some of it. We found some pit house remains along the trail.

Oct 17 -- Ventured out to Blackwater. Roads a bit muddy. Put up a sign asking atvs to refrain from using the old Indian trail. Left some T. trail brochures at Bailey's store at Pantage Creek ranch.

Nov. 9 -- Decided to check out that section of the Lhtakoh trail along the Tako road. They have logged on both sides of the trail corridor because of the pine beetle damage. Consequently, lots of blowdown. Only got half way through as the days are so short now. Saw a moose on the way home.
